My Favorite Healthy Recipe Blogs - Stitch & Salt (1)

Today, I’m sharing all my favorite healthy recipe blogs! When I’m sitting down to do my menu planning for the week, these are the websites I go to.

What’s that meme that everyone shares on the internet these days – being an adult is having to decide what to cook for dinner every single night until you die? That one totally hits home for me. I love cooking, but I still get tired of having to decide what to make for 3 meals a day every single day.

I’m sharing this post in hopes of giving you some recipe ideas for you and your family. Along with the blog, I’m sharing my favorites recipes from each website. All these recipes I’ve made and loved.

Side note – you have no idea how hungry I got writing this post.

Two Peas and Their Pod Blog and Cookbook

Maria’s recipes span the spectrum of healthy to indulgent, and they are always super family-friendly. I’ve made so many recipes from her site, but some of my favorite ones are this beef chili (my go-to chili recipe), this guacamole, this honey mustard sheet pan chicken and brussels sprouts, these turkey tacos, and this creamy chicken noodle soup. She also has a cookbook!

Cookie and Kate and the Love Real Food Cookbook

Kate is my go-to resource for healthy breakfast and vegetarian recipes. Her salad recipes are amazing, and I’ve taken them to many a family dinner. She also has recipes for how to cook basically any vegetable, and shares monthly roundups with seasonal recipe ideas. I’ve made her banana bread and banana muffin recipe more times than I can count. This salad recipe with apples, cranberries, and pepitas is my go-to potluck dish. And this shredded brussels sprouts and arugula salad and these black bean sweet potato enchiladas are fall favorites.

Ambitious Kitchen

I’m obsessed with Ambitious Kitchen. I’ve probably made about 30 recipes from her site, and they’ve almost all been well loved in the Rohr house. It would take me a long time to list all my recommendations here, but I’ll try to call out a few: one pan tandoori chicken with spiced coconut rice, curry cashew chickpea quinoa salad, vegan stir fry sesame noodles, honey lemon garlic salmon, healthier turkey sloppy joes, and spicy black bean chicken enchiladas with pumpkin sour cream sauce.

Skinnytaste

Skinnytaste has so many healthy recipes to choose from, it can almost be overwhelming browsing her site. I’ve made plenty of Gina’s recipes over the last few years, but my favorites are this instant pot baked ziti, slow cooker chicken enchilada stuffed sweet potatoes, grilled chicken kebabs with cucumber yogurt sauce, sheet pan turkey meatloaf and broccoli, chicken curry with coconut milk, and this maple soy glazed salmon.

Eating Bird Food

I’ve been following Brittany’s blog for many, many years, and her recipes have only gotten better and better. Her recipes are whole food based and made with nourishing ingredients. Plus, she has a ton of healthified remakes of your favorite treats. Some of my favorite recipes are this one pan roasted chicken and vegetables, this quick and easy balsamic salmon, this spaghetti squash taco bake, and this lemon garlic chicken sheet pan meal.

Fed and Fit

Cassy Joy Garcia, the creator behind Fed and Fit, is just a ray of sunshine. Her recipes use bold flavors in healthy renditions of your family’s favorites. Plus, they have a midwestern vibe (hello, casseroles!) which I crave. All her recipes can be modified for different diets, too, which I find helpful as someone with Crohn’s Disease. My favorites are this white chicken chili, these mini meatloaves with balsamic glaze, this cheesy chicken broccoli rice casserole, this pasta primavera, and this easy chicken curry. I also just purchased her new cookbook, Cook Once Dinner Fix, and although I haven’t made anything from it yet, everything in it looks amazing!

Lexi’s Clean Kitchen

Lexi’s site is another good one for finding recipes for different dietary needs. Her recipes are well tested and delicious. When I have to modify my diet due to digestive issues, I always turn to Lexi’s blog. My favorite recipes to make of hers are this deconstructed chicken pot pie, this beef taco meat (seriously good!), this maple blueberry baked oatmeal, this chili maple glazed salmon, and this instant pot teriyaki chicken.

Lillie Eats and Tells

I don’t count macros (I did at one point but found it to be too much work for me), but I still love Lillie’s recipes. I own all her cookbooks. She manages to get so much flavor into her recipes using mostly just protein and vegetables with just a moderate amount of carbs. I definitely have been through phases where I’m only cooking her recipes! These ones will not disappoint: greek pork pitas, instant pot creamy buffalo chicken (great for lunch leftovers!), blackened salmon sandwich, fig and blue cheese turkey burgers, and creamy cauliflower spaghetti squash casserole.

There is about 50 recipes ideas for you! If you want even more, here are is a list of recipes I’m making this fall.
