Background
As part of the Vault experiment, of the one thousand people who entered, one was a man and the rest were women.[1][2]
Notes
- Vault 68 is Vault 69's counterpart: It contained 999 men and only 1 woman.[3]

Vault 69 appears in Fallout Bible and One Man, and a Crate of Puppets.
Behind the scenes
- Concept art for Vault 69 was made by one of the Van Buren artists.
- The numbering and purpose of this vault are a tongue-in-cheek reference to the 69 sex position.
